I spend quite a lot of time taking shots of windows, blinds curtains etc. but none of them ever come out as glorious as this.

Feet

Feet 01, originally uploaded by tom_gifford.

I got a real urge the other day to take some black and white photos for a change. I'd forgotten how much I like it, although this is perhaps not the prettiest subject matter I could have chosen...

SuperHeadz White Slim Angel

More London 02, originally uploaded by tom_gifford.
I treated myself to a new camera last week and just got my first roll back – I think I've found a new friend. It's a clone of the Vivitar Ultra Wide and Slim, called the SuperHeadz White Slim Angel. It's a toy camera with a plastic 22mm wide-angle lens. There's no focusing, no film speed selection, you just make sure it's sunny and point-and-click. Unlike most of my other cameras it's actually small and light enough to put in your back pocket which has its advantages.

The build quality is about the same as a disposable camera, but the results are pretty special. Lots of vignetting, lots of flare – all the sorts of things that you shouldn't want in your photos but look so good anyway!

I got mine from this great online store in America called Four Corner Store, the camera's pretty cheap and a great addition to any camera bag.
