Getty Images

After a pretty quiet spell, I'm pleased to say that Getty Images have picked another of my shots for licensing. It was taken whilst visiting friends up in Leamington last November with my old 1950s Zeiss Ikon Ikoflex 1C TLR. It really is a magic camera – although it's not the most reliable bit of kit, when it's in the right mood it creates beautiful images. Many thanks to my friends Sarah, Bob and Robin for giving me permission to licence the shot.

Japan Charity Print Auction: The Barbican

...and another one.

Japan Charity Print Auction: Thames at Deptford

Sadly it really doesn't seem that long ago I was taking part in a Charity Print Aucton to raise money for Haiti. This time around I'm trying to do my little bit to raise some money to help in Japan.

I'm auctioning a print on the Flickr Charity Print Auction group here. It's worth a look I reckon, there's some very talented photographers contributing and it's all for charity – what's not to like?

The auction ends at midnight on Friday 25 March, and at the time of writing the bidding is at £40.

I really like these diptych portraits. I think I may have to shamelessly steal his approach...

Cardiff Before Cardiff

My friend Jon Poutney recently found some photos by Cardiff based photographer Keith S Robertson from 1982. Jon discovered the prints and negatives whilst renovating Warwick Hall, a building in the Gabalfa area of Cardiff, and was instantly struck by the quality of the prints and the vibrant, positive atmosphere depicted. As time goes by Jon will be reshooting the areas Keith visited, and is hoping to be able to find out who the people in the portraits actually are.

If anyone knows Keith Robertson, or recognises people in the photos, please get in touch with Jon at www.maxatt.co.uk.
