Graphitegrey Showreel

I put together a little video showcasing some of my design and artwork. Although I specialise in print design, I really enjoy doing a little bit of motion graphics now and again.

Wedding Invites

It's fair to say I have a bit of a thing about letterpress. I love print in general, but there is something about letterpress in particular that fascinates me. Last year I visited the amazing St Bride Foundation in London, and a few years ago I even looked into building my own press. Looking back, that seems wildly optimistic given my complete of DIY skills and available space, but I'm allowed to dream!

When it came to designing and printing our wedding invites it didn't take us long to decide that letterpress was the way to go. Luckily enough my friend Lucy Bainbridge of Bainbridge Studios put me in touch with a very talented illustrator and printmaker called Emma Lee Cheng who has done a beautiful job on our invites. The tactile quality of letterpress has really brought the design to life and we're so pleased with them. Really we ought to be sending them out first to our friends and family before I start banging on about them on the internet, but I couldn't resist a little sneak preview...

Fotofringe: Cardiff, 13 April - 1 June

I recently had a great time coming up with an identity and posters to help my friend Jon Pountney promote a new photography show he's putting on in Cardiff during April and May this year. The posters were going to be photocopied so they needed to be black and white only, but as is often the case these kind of restrictions make the project more interesting.

Called Fotofringe, the show is running across four venues in Cardiff from Saturday 13 April through till Saturday 1 June and features some amazing contemporary photographers. I've even managed to sneak a couple of my photos in as well which is cool (and very flattering!).

Jon's put a huge amount of his spare time and effort into making this show work so it would be great to see it get the recognition it deserves. All the details are on the Fotofringe site here at http://fotofringe.tumblr.com/
